PM Modi also accused the Congress and the CPI-M of tricking the people ahead of the elections. He said,"They (Congress, CPIM) are doing Chal Kapat for misrule and some parties
It was a blazing campaing trail by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in poll bound Tripura as he teared into the CPI-M and Congress.
While, highlighting his government’s committment for the welfare of everyone, PM Modi said,”For decades, rule of Congress and Communists hindered the development of Tripura. BJP govt brought development in Tripura. Violence isn’t anymore the identity of Tripura. BJP made state free from fear & violence.”
Speaking in terms of the law and order situation, Prime Minister Modi addressing a mega rally in Ambassa added,”Earlier police stations in Tripura were captured by the CPM cadre but now under BJP rule, there’s a rule of law in the state. Now, there’s women empowerment in the state & there is an ease of living.”
Apart from this, PM Modi also launched a scathing attack on the Opposition and said that it had introduced the “Chanda”(donation) culture.
“Chanda was the only word which prevailed before BJP came to power. The previous government had given the licence for Chanda. But, BJP has made Tripura free from Chanda.”
“We are trying to increase the income of everyone here, but this was not possible because of the “Chanda” culture. When BJP was not there farmers did not avail the benefits of MSP, but now times have changed.”
“BJP govt is focussing on increasing the income of people in Tripura. Money has been transferred into the bank accounts of farmers under PM-Kisan. This amount will be increased once BJP comes back to power. Under our rule, farmers are reaping benefits of MSP,” PM Modi said.
PM Modi also accused the Congress and the CPI-M of tricking the people ahead of the elections. He said,”They (Congress, CPIM) are doing Chal Kapat for misrule and some parties are giving them backdoor support.”
“Press your button only for the Kamal (BJP) and IPFT,” PM Modi added.
In this context PM Modi further questioned, “If the BJP government was not there, could the people in the far flung places of the state have benefitted? Congress & Left only know how to gain confidence of the deprived sections, but they can never fulfil their aspirations.”
Last but not the least, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also highlighted the government’s push for development in the poll bound state.
He said,”5000 km of roads were built in Tripura to connect its villages. A new airport was also built in Agartala. Optical fibre & 4G connectivity being brought to villages. Now, Tripura is becoming global. We’re developing waterways to connect the Northeast & Tripura with ports.”
Meanwhile, addressing his second rally at Radhakishorepur, Prime Minister Modi once again launched a scathing attack at the CPI-M and said,”5 years ago, when there was CPI(M) govt here, ‘CPM ki chanda waali company’ used to loot your ration. The poor wanted ration but Leftists used to loot the ration. You ousted them from Tripura & formed a double-engine govt here. People of Tripura can see its results.”
“Remember what did those who governed Tripura for years do to it. Life of local STs, poor, women, youth had become difficult. Their dreams were shattered, children were compelled to leave the state and go outside,” PM Modi.
Overwhelmed by the response of the presence of BJP supporters in the Vijay Sankalp rally, PM Modi said, “Your arrival here in such large numbers to bless us is an announcement of the return of the BJP govt. Your presence here in record strength will give sleepless nights to our rivals.”
