With just few days left for the Meghalaya Assembly elections, an incident of alleged pre-poll violence has come to the fore.

Several Meghalaya TMC party workers were allegedly attacked by NPP workers at the Charbatapara booth in the Phulbari assembly constituency of West Garo Hills in Meghalaya on Tuesday night.

Meghalaya TMC candidate SG Esmatur Mominin alleged that the NPP rally was being led by NPP’s Shyamnagar MDC Habeebuz Zaman and began pelting stones at the TMC party workers who had gathered at the place.

As per Mominin, four to five people sustained injuries during the attack.
