Tripura: CPI-M changes names of two candidates. Check details here

CPI-M also announced the name of its candidate for the Badharghat constituency

The CPI-M who had announced its list of candidates along with its ally Congress on January 25, has changed the names of two candidates and declared the candidate for Badharghat constituency.
Check the changes here:

  1. Majlishpur constituency — earlier the candidate was former Minister and CITU state president Manik Dey. He has been replaced by Sanjay Das who is a teacher by profession and a CPIM leader.
  2. Asharambari constituency — earlier the CPIM candidate was central committee leader and former Minister Aghor Debbarma. He has now been replaced by Dilip Debbarma.
  3. The CPI-M announced the candidate for Badharghat constituency — advocate Parth Ranjan Sarkar from the Forward Block.
    All the three candidates are new faces and first timers in the poll scene.
    The details about the changes made and the candidate for Badharghat constituency was shared by Left Front Tripura convenor Narayan Kar on Friday, January 27.
    Earlier on January 25, the Left Front had announced its candidates list for the 60 seats where CPI-M is contesting in 43 seats, ally Congress in 13, and CPI, RSP, Forward Bloc and an Independent are contesting in one seat each.
