Tragic: 13-Year-Old Assam Girl Raped, Impregnated, Dies after Childbirth

In a shocker from Assam’s Barpeta district, a 13-year-old minor girl who was allegedly raped and impregnated, died soon after childbirth.
According to sources, the teenage girl was raped seven months ago in Goalpara, Rangsai.
The teenager gave birth to a child at Goalpara Civil Hospital on January 22, but she had to be rushed to the
Barpeta Medical College Hospital when her health deteriorated thereafter.
The child’s body could not take the trauma and she died.
The girl’s family lodged an FIR on Tuesday.
The accused have been identified as a 40-year-old man named Jug Sangma.
