Home Minister Amit Shah arrives in Manipur

The HM will inaugurate 12 projects and lay foundation stones of 8 projects in Manipur tomorrow before leaving for Nagaland
After flagging off two Jana Vishwas Rath Yatras and addressing rallies in Tripura on Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has landed in Imphal, capital of Manipur just a while back. The Home Minister would be inaugurating a slew of key projects and would also lay the foundation stone for several other projects tomorrow. He will then leave for Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. The HM will meet members of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) and discuss their demand for a separate Frontier Nagaland. Discussions regarding the Naga issue is also expected to come up during his meeting with Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and other Nagaland Cabinet Ministers and leaders.
Following are the projects which the Home Minister would inaugurate tomorrow —
• Manipur Olympian Park, Sangaithel
• Fruit Preservation Factory (MAGFRUIT), Nilakuthi
• Paid Private Ward at JNIMS
• Churachandpur Medical College
• Moreh Town Water Supply Scheme
• Nongpok Thong Bridge at Eastern side of Kangla, Imphal
• Infrastructure Development of DM University
• Marjing Statue Complex
• Development of Cave Tourism Project at Kangkhuii Cave
• Model Residential School at LM Block, Ukhrul
• 100 bedded Residential School Rengpang
• Paediatric Cardio-Thoracic Operation Theatre at RIMS Campus
The Home Minister will lay the foundation stone of the following projects —
• Manipur Exhibition Centre, Imphal East
• District Youth, Skilling and Employment Centres in Districts
• Construction of Jiribam-Tipamukh Road
• Strengthening of Road from Sarnu Lamkhal to Saluk Village via Chakkarong Construction of 40 Police Outposts (34 along Indo-Myanmar International border and 6 along NH-37)
• Integrated Management of 3 Water Bodies/Wetland
• Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme
• Bharat Net Project/Capital Project on OFC Network under Scheme for Capital Investment (SACI)
• PM Gati Shakti Projects under Scheme for Capital Investment (SACI)
