Covid Alert in India : Assam to hold crucial review meet next week

The Assam government prepares to hold a crucial COVID review meeting in the first week of January, and if the need arises, a new set of SOPs will be issued.
Speaking on the matter, health minister Keshab Mahanta said that the COVID situation will be discussed in the first week of January, hospitals will provide all necessary updates. “Any gaps found will be addressed. There are currently no cases of COVID in Assam. We are testing samples every day. The genome sequencing of positive cases will be carried out. Masks are not required at this time,” Mahanta added.
The Union Health Ministry is closely monitoring all COVID-related developments, with the next 15 days set to be crucial for the country.
