4 Myanmar nationals arrested with arms and ammo in Mizoram’s Siaha dist

4 Myanmar nationals were apprehended in a joint operation by the Assam Rifles and the police in Mizoram’s Siaha district alongwith a huge cache of arms, ammunition and other war like stores. The operation was carried out near Block Tuipang of Saiha district based on specific information. The bike borne Myanmar nationals were nabbed while they tried to evade the Mobile vehicle check post in the Tuipang area. Subsequently, during spot checking one .22 rifle, 60 rounds of .22 ammunition, 3 boxes .177 pellets, 500 rounds of 12 gauge (70MM) cartridge, 22.42 kg gunpowder and various other tactical stores like, tactical vests, tactical gloves, combat uniform and boots were recovered from the Myanmar nationals.
