A 23-year-old Canadian is planting thousands of trees to help restore forests. A video of his record-breaking efforts has gone viral on Twitter after being shared on Wednesday by former Norwegian diplomat Erik Solheim.

He set a Guinness World Record for “most trees planted by an individual in 24 hours” with this. He broke the previous record of 15,170 trees set in 2001 by another Canadian, Kenny Chaplin.
Moses can be seen continuously bending and digging a hole while planting saplings in the now-viral video, which has been viewed over 1.7 million times. Planting 23,060 trees equates to 16 trees per minute.
In an interview with Global News, Moses stated that he was aided in this endeavour by a crew of six people. Moses claims to have planted over 1.3 million plants across Canada over the years.
