Arunachal: Tapi Mra, Niku Dao’s family to go on a hunger strike

Arunachal: Family members of Tapi Mra and Niku Dao will be launching a hunger strike from tomorrow. A crucial meet is expected today.

The Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to hold a meeting to address the grievances of the family members of missing mountaineers Tapi Mra and his associate Niku Dao. The meeting will be chaired by ministers Nakap Nalo and Mama Natung.

Earlier, government spokesperson and MLA Nyato Rigia visited the protest site this morning.

Meanwhile, the family members have said they will be launching a hunger strike from tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Justice for Tapi Mra campaign in Arunachal Pradesh took a serious turn after Tapi Mra’s mother was admitted to the hospital after her health deteriorated last night.

Notably, the family has been staging an indefinite dharna at the IG Park, urging the government to launch search operations and bring back the missing mountaineer and his assistant Niku Dao.

It may be mentioned here that the Save Arunachal Save Indiginious or SASI will be staging a protest rally on November 7. The rally will begin from Akashdweep to Tennis Court in Itanagar.
