Violence during rally: FKJGP issues apology

FKJGP said that the violence was unexpected, since at the beginning of the rally the participants were informed that peace must prevail.
The Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People has issued apology over the multiple incidents of alleged violent attacks on pasersby during its rally in Shillong today.
Briefing newspersons, Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) president Dundee Khongsit apologized on behalf of the organization. FKJGP president Khongsit said that the violence was unexpected, since at the beginning of the rally the participating youths were informed that the rally was a peaceful one.
However, Khongsit maintained that as a leader he has seen lot of frustration among the unemployed youths, especially those who has appeared for the 2019 Meghalaya Police recruitment exam, for which results are still not yet declared.
Meanwhile, FKJGP president Dundee Khongsit appealed the youths to be patient so that their issues can be addressed at the earliest.
