Pramod Boro accuses Hagrama Mohilary of rampant corruption

The BTR chief said that massive anomalies were found in various departments following the conduct of an audit by the new council.

BTR chief Pramod Boro has made big allegations of corruption and fund misutilisation against former BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary.

Speaking exclusively to Northeast Live chief of Bureau Arindam Das, Pramod Boro alleged that of the total Rs 19000 to 20,000 crore funds sanctioned for the development of Bodoland during Hagrama’s tenure over half was misused.

The BTR chief said that massive anomalies were found in various departments following the conduct of an audit by the new council.

Boro said that all these alleged irregularities should be probed by the CBI and other agencies.

So what are the major takeaways from BTR chief Pramod Boro’s big allegations?

First, of the Rs 19000 to 20,000 cr sanctioned for the development of Bodoland, half of the amount was allegedly misused.

Secondly, Pramod Boro also claimed that after taking over as BTR chief, the new administration allegedly found liabilities worth around a whopping Rs 3000 crore in the council run by Hagrama Mohilary.

Thirdly, 80% of the liabilities were found to be fake, Pramod Boro alleged.

Not only this but, Pramod Boro also alleged that funds from Central Packages were diverted and hence misused.

The BTR chief added that if the government would not change all the funds would have been released through manipulation.
