ISPL 2022: Team BTR defeats Mizoram’s LADC

Football fever gripped the Bodo Heartland as around 30 thousand people turned up at the SAI stadium to witness the football extravaganza.
It’s a historic day for football in Bodoland Territorial Region with team BTR beating Mizoram’s Lai Autonomous District Council team 1-0 in the final of the first Inter 6th Schedule Premier League tournament.
Swnwm scored for BTR in the second half to seal victory.

BTR chief Pramod Boro along with AIIF president Kalyan Chaubey and a host of dignitaries attended the grand finale. Over 8 teams from the region participated in the touirnament.
Earlier, addressing the gathering, AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey, who was overwhelmed by the crowd and the craze for football in Bodoland, gave a proposal to BTR CEM Pramod Boro to hold group matches of Santosh Trophy in BTR to encourage and bring out more football talents from the Northeast.
Lauding the players of Team BTR for exhibiting accurate football skills, the AIFF president also invited ISPL 2022 Champions to play the Bajirao Cup in Odisha.
