Election Fever: TMC hits out at NPP-led alliance in Meghalaya

With barely 4 months left for the Assembly Elections in Meghalaya, the opposition All India Trinamool Congress is leaving no stone unturned to take shots at the NPP-led MDA in the state.
AITMC Youth leader, Richard Marak has come down heavily on the ruling alliance, alleging that people in the state have suffered inconsolably under the present government.
Richard stated protests have ruled the roost and cases of alleged corruption have put the entire state into a mess.
The retort comes in retaliation to James Sangma’s comment on the CM and Deputy CM being accessible to the press. Richard asked whether that was enough.
The Youth Leader is expected to take on Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in the upcoming elections for the South Tura seat for the AITC.
He questioned if being accessible to the press was enough for the MDA and if they were not answerable to the people who elected them.
Richard added Teachers as well as casual MeECL employees have been protesting for their survival and irregularity in the implementation of the Scheme has also surfaced in the state.
The Youth Leader added that the AITMC would not rest until the misgovernance meted out by the MDA is brought to light and ended.
