President Droupadi Murmu’s Assam, Tripura visit

President Murmu during her visit will inaugurate several developmental projects. Prez Murmu will lay the foundation of Judicial University.
President Droupadi Murmu will be arriving in Assam on October 13. After her arrival, President Droupadi Murmu will be inaugurating a supercomputer at IIT Guwahati.
The supercomputer facility named “Param Kamrupa” is a high power active and passive component laboratory of Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research Centre for High Power Microwave Tube and Component Technology. Param Kamrupa, is a one of its kind supercomputer in the North East region,under the national supercomputing mission.
The event at IIT Guwahati will also include virtual inauguration of Medical College and Hospital in Dhubri,Assam and a foundation laying ceremony for zonal institutes of national institute of virology at Dibrugarh, and Jabalpur,Madhya Pradesh by the President.
Meanwhile, President Murmu will also visit Tripura. During her 2-day visit she will inaugurate several development projects.
The President is scheduled to virtually inaugurate the MLA Hostel at Capital Complex, Agartala and lay foundation stone for various projects including the Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manikya Museum and Cultural Center at Pushpabanta palace, Multi Storied Building at Gorkhabasti, Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT), Agartala, Infrastructure Development of 6 (six) units Higher Secondary Schools in various locations in Tripura, Nine 100-seated Boys/Girls Hostel besides upgradation of few roads.
It will be Murmu’s first visit to both the states after becoming the President.
