Arunachal CM reviews progress of Jang-Mago road in Tawang

In a bid to observe the status of an under-construction road from Jang to Mago in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu on wednesday trekked the road and took stock of the status of the road.

The 23-km-long strategic road is being constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

It is worth mentioning that the road from Jang to Mago is of great strategic importance as it cut short distances to Tulung La Pass on the border of Tibet-China.

The road can also help in boosting tourism in Arunachal Pradesh and especially Mago which is regarded as the treasure house of hot springs.

Taking to Twitter Chief Minister Pema Khandu posted a video oh his trekking and wrote “Trekked to see status of under construction Jang to Mago Road. The road is strategic as it will cut short distance to Tulung La Pass on border of Tibet-China as well as boost tourism to Mago – treasure house of hot springs. Don’t miss a chance to visit Mago & take a hot bath.”

Chief Minister Khandu mentioned that only a 3km stretch is left for formation cutting.
