Sikkim Olympic Association on Sunday sent off the State Contingent for the 36th National Games which will be held in Gujarat from 28th September to 12th October.
Six athletes from Sikkim will be competing in four sports disciplines including Athletics, Boxing, Skateboarding and Wushu at the National Games.
A 14 Member State Contingent comprising of athletes and officials led by General Secretary SOA, Arjuna Awardee Jaslal Pradhan as the Chef De Mission left for Gujarat.
A brief sent off function was organized in Gangtok during which Jacob Khaling, Political Secretary to the CM accompanied by President SOA, Kuber Bhandari and other top officials released T- Shirts, Track suits, Blazers and handed them over to the athletes, coach and officials.

SOA President Kuber Bhandari also announced cash prize amounting to Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50, 000 to athletes winning gold, silver and bronze medal respectively and Rs. 50,000 each to the medal winning Coaches along with parent Association.
Meanwhile, catching up with Boxer Roshni Subba, the pugilist informed she has prepared well for the National Games and ready to win medals for Sikkim.
