Peace talks between NSCN-IM, Centre postponed

It may be mentioned here that the NSCN-IM talk team led by VS Atem already reached Delhi yesterday for the resumption of talks.

The resumption of Peace Talks between the NSCN-IM and New Delhi which was scheduled for today, has been postponed.

As per sources, the meet which was supposed to take place today will now likely take place tomorrow.

It may be mentioned here that the NSCN-IM talk team led by VS Atem already reached Delhi yesterday for the resumption of talks.

The development comes after the Core Committee on Naga Political Issue met the NSCN IM leaders in a closed door meeting on Saturday in Dimapur.

Sources in the know-how informed that the separate Flag demand will be the main contentious issue. Other than that, all other points can be resolved amicably if they resume the talks based on the Framework Agreement and competency clauses, sources added.
