In a massive development, the NSCN-IM and the NNPGs held a rare meeting yesterday pledging to work together for the Naga cause.
In the historic meet facilitated by the Forum of Naga Reconciliation, the NSCN-IM and NNPGs jointly took three resolutions the prime among which was to work together in the spirit of love,” and desist from all forms of armed violence and refrain from indulging in the violence of words through print and social media among Naga Political Groups and the general public.
The meeting which was attended by top NSCN-IM leader VS Atem and coordinator of the working committee of the NNPGs Alezo Venuh also resolved to honor in letter and spirit, THE “COVENANT OF RECONCILIATION” of June 13, 2009—signed by the late lsak Chishi Swu, late SS Khaplang, and self -styled Brigadier (Retired) S. The NSCN-IM and the NNPGs further reiterated their commitment to move forward in the direction of achieving a solution.
