At a time when the Assam Police is already facing the heat for the assault on a civilian by traffic police personnel in Guwahati’s Paltan Bazar area, another shocking instance of high-handedness of police officials has come to light. This time, a police officer was recorded on camera brutally assaulting a minor inside a police station in Laharighat. As per reports, Assistant Sub Inspector Upendra Chandra Bordoloi has been allegedly assaulting a minor physically on a routine basis.

Netizens have questioned how the police official, who does not even bother to wear his uniform, has the right to beat up a minor in a brutal manner.

The minor could be heard pleading repeatedly in the video, however, the official beats up the minor without any remorse.

It is learnt that the minor was detained by the official under charges of theft. The incident reportedy happened at least 20 days ago but has come to light only now
