In a super Sunday for India in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. 16-year-old Manu Bhaker won Gold in Women’s 10m Air Pistol. Seasoned campaigner Heena Sidhu bagged silver in the same category. Along with Vikash Thakur and Ravi Kumar winning bronze medals in shooting and weightlifting.

On Day 4, India’s Manu Bhaker grabbed the women’s 10m air pistol gold medal by shattering the games record at the 21st Commonwealth Games. Manu Bhaker produced a stunning performance to end up with a total of 240.9 points. While, Heena Sidhu bagged silver in the same category.

India’s continuing golden run in weightlifting, added another feather to the cap with Punam Yadav finishing at the top of the podium in the women’s 69kg event with a combined lift of 222kg with 100kg snatch and 122kg in the clean and jerk category. Meanwhile, India’s Vikas Thakur won the bronze medal in the men’s 94kg weightlifting category.

Also, Indian shooter Ravi Kumar won the bronze medal in the men’s 10m air rifle event. Ravi shot 224.1 to finish third on the podium at the Belmont Shooting Centre.
