Vegetable traders in Sikkim are on a warpath. Following the government ban on sale of in-organic vegetables in the markets from April 1, traders have been left high and dry due to short supply of vegetables in the markets of Gangtok.

The All Sikkim Traders Association threatened to go on a stir if the government fails to ensure that normal supply of vegetables is restored in the market.

The Association further alleged that Simfed, a government-run organic vegetable selling unit is selling inorganic vegetables.
