The mobile task force of Tripura state police has detained as many as 8 suspected Bangladeshi nationals from the Inter state bus terminus in Agartala.

Upon interrogation, the detained persons revealed that they hailed from Chittagong in Bangladesh and entered India illegally through the Sonamura border in Tripura. The 8 were planning to travel to Guwahati.
