N Biren Singh’s Name confirmed as Manipur’s next CM ?

Has the BJP high command taken a final call on who will be the next Chief Minister of Manipur? Is the announcement of the name of next CM a mere formality now or are more negotiations on the cards? Will party central observers have another key round of meet before announcing the name? Well, while suspense continues over who will be the next CM of the state, reports are doing rounds that N Biren Singh’s name has been cleared for the post of CM.

As per reports, the BJP high command has approved the name of N Biren Singh for the post of Manipur CM.

However, there is no official word yet on the said development thus keeping the suspense alive.

It may be mentioned that apart from N Biren Singh, MLA Thongam Biswajit is also in fray for the CM’s post and is said to be a strong contender.

Earlier yesterday, caretaker CM N Biren Singh along with MLA Th Biswajit and Manipur BJP president A Sarda Devi attended a crucial meet with the party high command at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, N Biren Singh called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi today.

Before the meeting with Prime Minister Modi, N Biren Singh confirmed that the issue of government formation in Manipur will also be discussed with the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister.
