The stage is set for the all-important rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in Manipur.

PM Modi is slated to address a rally at Luwangpokpa Sports Stadium in Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s home turf Heingang today.

BJP Manipur president A Sharda Devi, who is personally monitoring the arrangements for PM Modi’s mega rally, had informed that over 1 lakh BJP supporters are expected to take part in the rally.

This will be PM Modi’s first rally in the state elections.

With just a few days left before the first phase of elections in Manipur, both BJP and Congress are bringing in their star campaigners for campaigning.

Yesterday Congress leader Rahul Gandhi gave a big push to the party’s campaign in the state. He addressed a rally at the Hapta Kanjeibung ground in Imphal.

Manipur will go for polls in two phases. The first phase will be held on February 28 and the second on March 5. 

The vote counting will take place on March 10.
