Hectic preparations are underway in Congress camps in Manipur as party president Rahul Gandhi is all set to arrive in the poll-bound state today to drum up support for his party.
Rahul Gandhi will be arriving in Imphal, where he is scheduled to address a public rally.
Meanwhile, veteran Congress leader and party’s senior observer for Manipur Jairam Ramesh is overseeing the preparations for Rahul Gandhi’s visit.

Ramesh informed that during the visit Rahul Gandhi will address party workers besides meeting leaders of the Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance.
Gandhi will also address the public on the issues of the state as well as the promises made in the Congress manifesto.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that Rahul’s visit will have a big impact and that the party will sail to power in the state.
Manipur will go for polls in two phases. The first phase will be held on February 28 and the second on March 5.
The vote counting will take place on March 10.
