Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled the new BJP office today in Lakhimpur. During the ceremony, the Assam Chief Minister was seen paying his respects to veteran members of the party by washing their feet.
Emotions were soaring high among the members who were greatly touched by the Chief Minister’s heart-warming gesture.
The Assam Chief Minister, who is on a Lakhimpur tour, will also attend a plantation drive along the Lakhimpur Bypass road.

In a major boost to health infrastructure in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate the Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital, the state’s 8th medical institution.
The new facility aims to provide 100 MBBS seats, thereby taking the overall medical seat capacity to at least 1100 on a year-on-year basis. Chief Minister Sarma, meanwhile, formally inaugurated the existing veterinary college in Lakhimpur.
