The Don Bosco School at Kheti in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district has been declared a containment zone for 10 days starting on Friday after 33 out of a total of 60 students tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Tirap DC Taro Mize, more staff and students may be infected with the COVID-19 virus for which necessary contact tracing and testing is required to contain the spread of the virus by school authorities.

In an order issued by Tirap DC, during the containment period, no individual will be allowed to enter or exit the zone till contact tracing and testing are conducted. All positive cases are to be kept in isolation by school authorities.
Meanwhile, 532 fresh COVID cases have been detected in the last 24 hours, taking the total active tally in the state to 2,660. The total death toll in the state stands at 282. The recovery rate is currently at 95%.
