Taking into account the surge in Covid cases and the possibility of spread of Omicron variant, the Arunachal Pradesh health task force led by Health Minister Alo Libang has recommended
Taking into account the surge in Covid cases and the possibility of spread of Omicron variant, the Arunachal Pradesh health task force led by Health Minister Alo Libang has recommended imposition of night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am till January 31st.
Further steps would depend on the assessment by the District administration in consultation with the Health Department for their respective areas. Meanwhile, all workplaces, businesses, and commercial establishments may be permitted to operate till 8 pm.
Offices have been asked to adopt virtual functioning with only 25% physical attendance of essentially required staff on a rotation basis as decided by HoDs. Bars, gyms, cinema halls, and auditoriums can operate with 50% capacity. Meanwhile, mass gatherings, weekly markets, haats etc. will not be allowed.
Schools and hostels may be closed from January 15 to 30th with classes being held in online mode.
Arunachal Pradesh recorded a whooping 130 new cases of Covid-19 on January 10 with four recoveries.
