Nagaland is celebrating its 59th Statehood Day today. A state-level function commemorating the occasion was held at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio wished the people of the state on the occasion of the 59th Statehood Day, remembering the sacrifices of the state’s leaders who ensured its creation as the 16th state of the country.
Taking to Twitter Chief Minister Rio tweeted “Greeting to the people of Nagaland on our 59th Statehood Day, we celebrate this historic day remembering all those who worked to ensure the establishment of Nagaland as the 16th state of the Indian Union. Let us work together towards genuine peace, oneness and progressive change”
