Assam Rifles on Monday seized foreign cigarettes worth Rs approximately 52 lakhs from Chhungte village in Champhai district of Mizoram.
On September 4, Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles along with the Customs Department of Mizoram conducted a joint operation and successfully recovered the contraband of foreign-origin cigarettes.
Taking to Twitter Assam Rifles wrote, “ASSAM RIFLES SEIZE FOREIGN ORIGIN CIGARETTES IN MIZORAM Serchhip Battalion of #AssamRifles, in a joint operation with Customs Department, on 04 Sep, seized 40 Cases of foreign origin cigarettes worth Rs 52 Lakhs from Chhungte, Vill, Champhai Dist in Mizoram.”
