Meghalaya’s COVID-19 tally surpasses 50,000-mark

The overall COVID-19 tally in Meghalaya surpassed the 50,000-mark as 577 more persons tested positive on Thursday. The fresh cases pushed the caseload to 50,090, while six more deaths raised
The overall COVID-19 tally in Meghalaya surpassed the 50,000-mark as 577 more persons tested positive on Thursday.
The fresh cases pushed the caseload to 50,090, while six more deaths raised the toll to 844. The fatalities were reported from West Jaintia Hills, West Khasi Hills, East Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills districts.
As many as 250 persons recuperated from the infection in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries in the state stands at 44,709.
Meghalaya currently has 4,537 active cases. The state has so far conducted over 6.73 lakh tests.
A total of 6.98 lakh people have been inoculated in the state, with over 79,400 beneficiaries receiving both doses of the vaccine.
