The third phase of polling for four seats in Guwahati on Tuesday witnessed a large turnout of voters. People were seen queuing outside polling stations even before the voting began
The third phase of polling for four seats in Guwahati on Tuesday witnessed a large turnout of voters. People were seen queuing outside polling stations even before the voting began at 7 AM.
The voters of Jalukbari, Dispur, Gauhati East and West will decide the fate of several high profile candidates including ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma and Siddhartha Bhattacharya.

Dispur BJP candidate Atul Bora who exercised his franchise early in the morning expressed his confidence over a swift victory.
“I will win with a margin of around 2.5 lakh votes,” Bora told media persons.
Meanwhile, Bora’s opponent Manjit Mahanta of Congress said he is hopeful for a big win.
“People have welcomed me as a man of work and commitment,” said Mahanta.
