Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday distributed one-time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 to 1,000 sportspersons who brought laurels to the state at various national and international events. Sonowal
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday distributed one-time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 to 1,000 sportspersons who brought laurels to the state at various national and international events.
Sonowal also handed over sports pension to former sportspersons of the state, along with one-time financial assistance at a programme held in Guwahati.
The State NSS Award for the year 2018-19 was also distributed during the programme.
Besides this, CM Sonowal along with Union Minister Rameswar Teli inaugurated the renovated Bimala Prasad Chaliha Swimming Pool at TRP Indoor Stadium.
“Giving a major boost to the swimming scenario of Assam, CM Shri @sarbanandsonwal along with Union Min Shri @Rameswar_Teli & Min Shri @SBhttachrya inaugurated the renovated Bimala Prasad Chaliha Swimming Pool at TRP Indoor Stadium, Guwahati,” CM Sonowal Tweeted.
With an aim to provide medical support to journalists in the state, the Chief Minister inaugurated a medical center of Assam Sports Journalists Association at TRP Indoor Stadium in Guwahati.
