Today marks a new milestone in the aviation sector of Sikkim as two passenger flights landed at the Pakyong airport on Monday.
For the first time, two flights from Kolkata and Delhi landed at the Pakyong airport on a single day.
With SpiceJet resuming flight services from Kolkata to Pakyong airport, the air link between Kolkata and Sikkim revived after a 20-month long hiatus.
Last month, a SpiceJet Bombardier Q-400 Passenger flight from Delhi successfully landed at the Pakyong Airport, several months after all commercial operations had been suspended due to various reasons.
Earlier, SpiceJet used to operate flights between Pakyong and Calcutta and Pakyong and Guwahati.
