Addressing the public meeting at Jerenga Pathar at Sivasagar, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal said PM Narendra Modi is the biggest well-wisher of Assam and its people.
“Prime Minister is the biggest well-wisher of Assam and its people. The development of Assam and the northeast region is due to his support,” Sonowal said.
The prime minister arrived in Assam today to distribute land pattas to over 1 lakh landless people.
On the other hand, Assam cabinet minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked prime minister Modi for giving the region a new direction in terms of growth and inclusive development.
“Assam and North-East got due attention from the Central Govt and made unprecedented progress during the last 6 years. Thank you Hon’ble Narendra Modi Ji for giving the region a new direction in terms of growth & inclusive development.
Providing Land Pattas to the landless people of Assam is the commitment of the Assam Government under the able leadership of PMO India.
Grateful to the govt for their remarkable step. Something very necessary at this hour,” Sarma said.
