“With 2166 discharge today, we have crossed 1 Lakh recovered patients. We bow down to efforts of medical team. With this spirit, we shall win over #COVID19,” Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted on Tuesday.

Assam on Tuesday recorded 2,579 new COVID-19 cases taking the overall tally in the state to 1,30,823. The active cases stands at 29,203.

Meanwhile, 8 more people succumbed to the infection on Tuesday.
