As Northeastern states race to fight the coronavirus outbreak, the first dedicated Covid Health Care Centre in Bomdila was inaugurated on Monday at the premises of the General Hospital in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Speaking on the occasion, local MLA Dongru Siongju thanked the district administration, police, health professionals and other frontline workers who are fighting the battle against COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki also lauded the efforts of all frontline Corona warriors and stated that the district administration is fully prepared to tackle any eventuality.
Earlier, District Medical Officer Dondu Wange while briefing media persons informed that the newly inaugurated dedicated COVID healthcare centre houses 20 beds for both males and females.
The DMO further added that in case of any positive cases, the patients would be shifted to the dedicated Covid Healthcare Centre for further treatment.
However, since the centre does not have any ICUs or ventilators yet, critical cases would be referred to either the Army Hospital Dahung or the Tomo Rib Institute of Health and Medical Sciences.
