Tripura has reported 16 more positive COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the tally to 152.

16 persons including one official, 6 female and 9 children from BSF’s 86th Battalion at Ambassa tested positive for the virus.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb tweeted, “16 persons found #COVID19 POSITIVE in Tripura from 86th-Bn #BSF (Official:1, Female:6, Children: 9).

We are conducting max number of tests. 75 Samples from 3rd-Bn BSF tested but all reports are NEGATIVE.”

The number of active cases in the state has now risen to 148.
