Union Home Minister Amit Shah greeted the people of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of 34th Statehood Day.
Addressing a massive gathering at state capital Itanagar, Shah lauded Arunachal’s role in nation building even as he said that the focus of the Narendra Modi led government was to continue taking the frontier state and the Northeast as a whole to new heights of development.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief minister Pema Khandu, Doner minister Jitendra Singh, NEDA convenor and senior Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and union minister Kiren Rijiju were also present at the statehood day celebrations.
Meanwhile, addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Pema Khandu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for resolving several key long pending issues of the region including the Bru crisis and the Bodo issue.
