Seven representatives of local bodies, including one ADC member from the Congress and the NEIDP joined the BJP in Manipur on Saturday.
Among those who joined the ruling party, includes Congress ADC member of Tengnoupal autonomous council, 1 Chairperson and 5 Councillor of Oinam assembly constituency.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh welcomed the members at a party event held in Chancipur in Imphal West.
Addressing the gathering, N Biren Singh came out all guns blazing against the Congress stating that the BJP needs no advice from the opposition party regarding maintenance of transparency in recruitment, posting or promotion.
The Manipur Chief Minister maintained that recruitment scams flourished during the Congress regime.
N Biren Singh’s statement comes after the Congress demanded that the written exam for the recruitment of 2 Battalion of India Reserve Battalion should be done with OMR system to avoid discrepancies.
