Nearly hundred AASU protesters including Chief Advisor Sammujal Bhattacharya and General Secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi have been briefly detained by police when they were marching towards the Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner’s Office as part of the 3-day mass ‘Satyagraha’ organised by the students’ union.
The AASU protesters are likely to be kept in the Dighali Pukhuri area. It may be mentioned that the All Assam Students Union, which is spearheading the movement against the Citizenship Amendment Act in Assam, began its mass Satyagraha in all district headquarters of the state today.
