Suspected ULFA-Independent cadres have allegedly kidnapped a tea garden official of Sankar tea estate from Dhola in Assam’s Tinsukia district.
The person abducted has been identified as Gauranga Deb who worked as the head fitter at the garden factory.
It has been reported that a four member group armed with AK series rifles along with other weapons abducted Deb from the premises at 6pm on Friday evening. Police suspect the role of ULFA-I behind the abduction.
Meanwhile, a massive combing operation has been launched by the security forces to against the rebel group.
