Employees’ union oppose NRL privatisation bid, hold protests

Several outfits held a protest on Friday against the proposed disinvestment of the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited at the Numaligarh Refinery Limited. The protestors headed mainly by the Numaligarh Refinery

Several outfits held a protest on Friday against the proposed disinvestment of the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited at the Numaligarh Refinery Limited.

The protestors headed mainly by the Numaligarh Refinery Employees Union protested against the Centre’s move to disinvest in NRL paving the way for partial privatisation. Currently, the BCPL holds 61.65 percent share of NRL.

The protestors staged their protest at main gate of the Numaligarh Refinery. The protestors made it clear that the protests would intensify if the Centre does not cancel its proposed stand.
