A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 Richter scale rattled Northeast on Friday. Tremors were felt in Guwahati and others parts of Assam.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the quake occurred at 02:52 pm on latitude 27.7°N and 92.8°E at a depth of 10 km, with its epicentre being in East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, no casualty has been reported so far from any part of the region.
