The wreckage of the AN-32 aircraft has been spotted near the Gatte village under the Payum circle in Arunachal Pradesh’s Siang district.

The Indian Air Force aircraft that had been missing for nine days now has finally been found. This was confirmed to Northeast Live by Shi Yomi district Deputy Commission Mito Dirchi.

It has been more than a week that the AN-32 aircraft that took off from the Jorhat Air Base in Assam went missing while on its way to the Mechuka Advanced Landing Ground in Arunachal Pradesh’s Shi Yomi District.

Intense search and rescue operation had been launched since then, but bad weather had slowed down rescue efforts to a large degree delaying the find.

Air Force Chief – Air Marshal BS Dhanoa, who had recently visited Jorhat and met the family members of the air officers, who were on board the missing AN-32 aircraft had stated that the search operations would continue until and unless the aircraft is located and his officers are rescued.
