Assam HS final results out; Khushboo Firdous from Arts tops with 95.6%

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Monday declared the results of Higher Secondary final year examinations 2019. As many as 2,42,844 students appeared for the HS final exams
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Monday declared the results of Higher Secondary final year examinations 2019.
As many as 2,42,844 students appeared for the HS final exams this year. Out of which, 1,86,187 candidates were from the Arts stream. From Science and Commerce stream, as many as 37,455 and 18,291 candidates appeared for the examination.
The pass percentage in the Arts, Science and Commerce streams has been 75.14, 86.59 and 87.59% respectively.
In Arts stream, Khushboo Firdous of Brilliant Academy Junior College, Darrang topped the examination with flying colours, scoring 478 marks out of 500.
Sayan Mazumdar of Darrang College and Bitupan Arandhara from Nagaon’s Ramanujan Junior College, jointly secured first rank in the Science stream.
On the other hand, Ashim Sarkar from Vivekananda Junior College, Cachar secured first rank in the Commerce stream with a total of 478 marks.
