On a day when BJP created history by registering a massive comeback, SKM the main opposition party in Sikkim managed to dethrone SDF government that had been in power for 25 years.
Though the five time Chief Minister Pawan Chamling managed to retain his two seats, he could not save his party from losing this time.
If we go by the latest figures, the SKM has won 14 seats and is leading in 3 seats taking its tally to 17. The SDF meanwhile has fallen short of majority with only 15 seats in its kitty.
