2 Rohingya migrants arrested in Assam

2 Rohingya immigrants were arrested by the police in Assam’s Hailakandi. The duo has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code besides section 14-A of the Foreigners

2 Rohingya immigrants were arrested by the police in Assam’s Hailakandi.

The duo has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code besides section 14-A of the Foreigners Act.

This comes within a week of 5 Rohingyas being arrested from the Guwahati Railway station while they were trying to board a train to Delhi.

Prior to this 10 Rohingyas were arrested while they were trying to enter Tripura from Bangladesh.

Rohingya influx continues unabated in the region with over 100 arrested in Assam and Tripura in the last few months.
