NPP candidate Agatha Sangma filed her nomination from the prestigious Tura Lok Sabha constituency on Friday.
Pitted as a clash of titans, its a major battle of prestige between former two time Meghalaya chief minister Mukul Sangma and Agatha who is the sister of present Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Home Minister James Sangma.
Meanwhile, Congress candidate and Shillong Lok Sabha MP Vincent Pala has exuded confidence that Congress will bounce back to power after the Lok Sabha elections.
Ruling out anti-incumbency against the Congress, Pala hoped that his party’s vote share will increase as compared to the earlier elections.
