The BJP in Manipur will fight the ensuing Lok Sabha elections by highlighting major achievements in four or five areas which include its campaign against drugs, maintenance of law and order, investment and connectivity.

This was indicated in a political resolution adopted by the Manipur State BJP Convention held in Imphal on Wednesday.

The convention is being attended by BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav along with top party leaders from the state including Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Rajya Sabha MP K Bhabananda saw participation from a large number of party members.

In a resolution, the BJP said the Government has normalised the law and order problem which had been hampering the growth of the State.

The BJP resolution also claimed that Bandhs and strikes in the State have decreased during the past 2 years under the BJP-led coalition Government.

In its resolution the BJP also claimed that the Government has aggressively campaigned against drugs and has also taken action against drug barons and traffickers.

It may be mentioned that even though the party drew a lot of flak over the Citizenship Amendment Bill issue recently, Chief Minister N Biren Singh retrieved the situation.
